Technical and Historical Data

The Aoyagi class has been in use by the New Earth Federation since before the 7th Space War. Although most of these were destroyed, the New Earth Federation has been building them in secret bases, and has a large fleet of them.
There are two launch pads located on either side of the Aoyagi's Hull, shielded by the exterior Hull Shield.

[1] Destroying the Main Bridge will deprive the ship of all forms of long range communications, radar and targeting. The ship can still operate, controled from engineering, but is -3 on Initiative and -3 to strike.
[2] Depleting the MDC of the Main Hull will put the ship out of commission. The airlocks, and Hangar Doors will still operate on Manual. Emergency lighting will activate, throught out the ship, in the event of main power failure.
[3] Protecting the sides of the Hain Hull, Launch Bays, and Engines are the Hull Shields. 50% of all attacks from the side impact on these shields.
[4] Depleting the MDC of the Main Engines will disable the ships ability to move. It can still alter it's orientation with thrusters, but will not be able to control it's course. It will become a ballistic object travelling in a straight line on it's last course
Speed
|
Power: 12,000 megaWatts
Speed: Max Acceleration: 9g (88.2 m/sec2) The
Aoyagi is capable of achieving Lunar escape velocity, but does not have enough
reaction mass for long journeys. ie, to Mars or the Asteroid belt.
Although originally launched from the surface of the Earth, the Aoyagi is incapable of atmospheric re-entry.
