Technical and Historical Notes

As the proliferation of Mobile Suits spread throughout the combat zones of the 7th Space War between the (Old) Earth Federation and the Space Revolutionary Army, many special environment suits were designed.  To assist in underwater operations, including combat and salvage, the Daughseat was introduced, a derivative of the DT-6800 Daughtress series, and deployed in the Earth's Oceans.  Heavily Armored to deal with the crushing pressures of the depths, these suits, however, lacked the amazing armor of the Gundam Series Mobile Suits.  Many of the Daughseat's were made, and deployed into special area's, but remained out of the main combat zones.  Because of this, at the end of the war, a fair number of the Daughseats' survived the wars cataclysmic finale.  The Daughseat's are still in use by a multitude of forces both big and small, but primarily in use by ORC Ocean going pirates.

[1]The Head and Hands are small targets , and are difficult to hit.  Therefore, even with a called shot, they are -3 to hit.

[2]Destroying the Head will disrupt the Daughseats' ability to receive radio signals and has a 50% chance of destroying the active and passive sonar tracking systems. This will eliminate the bonuses for Strike and Dodge.

[3]Depleting the MDC of the Main Body will disable the Mobile Suit.

[4]Destruction of the Backpack Thruster Unit will render the Daughseat dead in the water, and it will sink like an anchor.

  1. D-Navi System: a special system designed for underwater navigation, that improves tracking, and targetting.  It uses a living Dolphin Brain at it's heart, to process the sonar information.  Developed after the war by Doza Bale, most honorable pilots refuse to use such a system.
