Technical and Historical Notes

An improvement on the original DTM-7000 Daughseat, the Daughseat III was developed and deployed near the end of the 7th space war.  The Daughseat III featured an extenable arm/pincer system that is the forerunner to the Gundam Virsago's extenable arms, and the Gundam Ashtaron Hermit Crab's pincer claws.  Although a fair number of the Daughseat III's were made, and deployed into special area's, most remained out of the main combat zones.  Because of this, at the end of the war, a fair number of the Daughseat III's survived the wars cataclysmic finale.  The Daughseat III's are still in use by a multitude of forces both big and small, but primarily in use by ORC Ocean going pirates, and the New Federation.

[1]The Head and Hands are small targets , and are difficult to hit.  Therefore, even with a called shot, they are -3 to hit.

[2]Destroying the Head will disrupt the Daughseat III's ability to receive radio signals and has a 50% chance of destroying the active and passive sonar tracking systems. This will eliminate the bonuses for Strike and Dodge.

[3]Depleting the MDC of the Main Body will disable the Mobile Suit.

[4]Destruction of the Backpack Thruster Unit will render the Daughseat III dead in the water, and it will sink like an anchor.

Optional Systems:

  1. D-Navi System: a special system designed for underwater navigation, that improves tracking, and targetting.  It uses a living Dolphin Brain at it's heart, to process the sonar information.  Developed after the war by Doza Bale, most honorable pilots refuse to use such a system.
