Technical and Historical Notes
|
Similar in design to the FX-9900 GX-Bits, these G-Bits were designed to be mentally "piloted" by a newtype. In this case, however, the newtype was not a person, but the actual Microwave Satellite Base that was the source of the Microwave Power Beam that energized the Satellite Cannons of the GX-9900 and other units.
DOME, who was in fact the base, was also once human, and upon his death, had been bonded to the circuitry of the base, making the base itself a Newtype.
DOME used these units to defend itself, and kept everyone from accessing his power until AW0015 when he allowed all the combatants in the NEW space war to land and learn the "truth" about Newtypes.
Following this battle, DOME itself was destroyed in the final blast from Garrod Rans GX-9901 DX Gundam Double X.

[1]The Head and Hands are small targets , and are difficult to hit. Therefore, even with a called shot, they are -3 to hit.
[2]Destroying the Sensor Antenna will disrupt the G-Bit's ability to receive radio signals and has a 50% chance of destroying the radar and laser tracking systems. However, since the unit is controlled by DOME from his facility, it is barely slowed down.
[3]Depleting the MDC of the Main Body will disable the G-bit.
[4]Depleting the MDC of the Satellite Cannon Backpack, or destroying 2 or more Energy Collector Wings will disable the Satellite cannon, and render the GX-9900 incapable of flight.
