"It's Awesome." Garrod Ran
Fifteen years after Jamil Neate used his GX-9900 Gundam X in a failed attempt to stop the mass colony drop of the Seventh Space War, elements of the New Earth Federation unvield a new Gundam based on the GX-9900 that Neate had abandoned in space following the end of the war. Found floating in orbit, the Gundam was taken to a research lab, where it's computer systems were downloaded into a new Gundam frame. The new unit, called the GX-9901-DX Gundam Double X, mounted two Satellite Cannons, improved Beam Swords, and more hand armorments.
Following the trail of the Satellite Systems Laser Downlink, the Crew of the Freeden, a Vulture controlled Land Battleship, attempted to capture the unit. The New Federation Research Facilities Commander bluffed the Freeden, and forced the crew to surrender. Neate and Tiffa Adil were separated, and scheduled to be brought before scientists researching Newtypes, but Garrod Ran, and the rest of the Freeden's crew escaped, and Garrod and a Federation Soldier attempted to liberate the captured Gundams. At first, failure and death seemed inevitable when it was discovered the G-Controller for the GX-9901 DX had been removed, but Garrod and his new ally were able to hold out until Jamil Neate and Tiffa Adil arrived with the captured G-Con for Garrod's GX-9900-DV. Although their new ally was killed before Garrod could make good their escape, his death catalized Garrod into a dazzling display of piloting skill, as he used hand to hand and beam saber attacks to decimate the pursuing mobile suits.
One of the greatest improvements included in the Gundam Double X, was the elimination of the need for a Newtype pilot. Using the recorded brainwaves taken from Jamil Neate 15 years ago, the Double X is able to activate the Dual Satellite Cannons.

[1]The Head and Hands are small targets , and are difficult to hit. Therefore, even with a called shot, they are -3 to hit.
[2]Destroying the Sensor Antenna will disrupt the Double X's ability to receive radio signals and has a 50% chance of destroying the radar and laser tracking systems. This will eliminate the bonuses for Strike and Dodge.
[3]Depleting the MDC of the Main Body will disable the Double X.
[4]Depleting the MDC of the Satellite Cannon Backpack, or destroying 3 or more Energy Collector Wings will disable the Satellite cannon, and render the GX-9901 incapable of flight.
