Technical and Historical Notes

Presumably completed before development of the GX-9901-DX Gundam Double X began, the New Earth Federation's NRX-0015 Gundam Ashtaron was a fairly heavy mobile suit capable of transforming into a flight-capable mobile armor form. Despite its size and bulk, the Ashtaron was equipped with sufficient thrust to allow it to not only fly and maneuver at high speeds, but also to carry Shagia Frost's NRX-0013 Gundam Ashtaron on its back in MA mode. The Ashtaron's primary armament were its pair of "atomic scissors" claws, which not only served as large and powerful grappling/striking melee weapons in both modes, but were also armed with beam cannons for equally flexible ranged attacks. Piloted by Shagia's younger brother, Olba Frost, the Gundam Ashtaron would prove to be an extremely difficult menace to the Vulture crew of the land battleship Freeden in AW 0015.

[1]The Head and Hands are small targets , and are difficult to hit.  Therefore, even with a called shot, they are -3 to hit.

[2]Destroying the Sensor Antenna will disrupt the Gundam Ashtaron's ability to receive radio signals and has a 50% chance of destroying the radar and laser tracking systems. This will eliminate the bonuses for Strike and Dodge.

[3]Depleting the MDC of the Main Body will disable the Gundam Ashtaron

  1. Atomic Scissor: Developed to dominate in close combat, the Atomic Scissor are capable of crushing an enemy Gundam.  Their hydrolics are set up to deliver tremendous damage to anything they manage to get ahold of .  Ripping and tearing thier way though the battlefield, the Atomic Scissor of the Ashtaron have proven a formidible weapon.  
    Location: Attached to a pivot point on the shoulders when in Humanoid Mode, and on either side of the nose, when in Mobile Armor Mode.

    Mega Damage: 3D6 MD per Slap, 1D6 x 10 MD per Pinch/Crush
